I stopped shopping at Whole Foods in 2012, but recently went back to see if anything had changed. I eventually realized that other supermarkets better supported my shopping habits and lifestyle, and I stopped going to Whole Foods in 2012. Now, I can easily visit Wegmans for plant-based foods and shop at Safeway for milk alternatives or locally-produced ice cream, so Whole Foods no longer stands out. I found the prices at Whole Foods to be expensiveSmall snacks and produce at Whole Foods are usually more expensive than at other supermarkets. AdvertisementI did see products from the 365 label, Whole Foods' house brand, that were cheaper than similar items at the store.

It's a constant source of frustration for the Minnesota congressman challenging President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination. Sure, Phillips is on the ballot in New Hampshire, which holds its primary Tuesday. Biden won't debate Phillips, which is standard behavior for incumbent presidents with primary opponents. And the Biden campaign declined to weigh in on Phillips’ candidacy – also standard for incumbents not facing serious threats from challenges within their own parties. Democratic activists are mounting a write-in campaign for Biden.

"I seeded my campaign with capital because I had to," Phillips, 54, told Reuters in an interview on the sidelines of an event at Manny's, a meeting space in San Francisco. "I will be in Los Angeles and San Francisco, and I'll be going to New York and Chicago, and Miami and larger cities to raise resources and campaign," Phillips said. Even so, Democrats are wary of any challenge to Biden that could dent the party's chances against likely Republican nominee Donald Trump. Top New Hampshire Democrats expect a write-in campaign to kick off on behalf of Biden. Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minn., walks down the House steps after the last votes of the week in the Capitol on Thursday, April 20, 2023. After months of hinting, Rep. Dean Phillips announced Thursday that he would challenge President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination for president. The move comes as Biden faces stagnant approval ratings amid voter concerns about the economy and the president's age, though the White House has been dismissive toward a possible Phillips presidential run in the past. Phillips flipped his current congressional seat blue when he was elected in 2018 by defeating incumbent Erik Paulsen 55.7% to 44.3%. It Might Be Time to Consider Timisoara

Families stroll and savor gelato cones as bike couriers whiz by. Pensioners relax on benches near manicured flower beds while earbud-wearing hipsters walk dogs and children chase pigeons by a fountain laden with bronze fish. The scene in Victory Square in Timisoara, Romania, is quintessentially European — modern meets Old World. Romanians and history buffs know Timisoara for its leading role in the bloody Romanian revolution in December 1989, when local protests set off a nationwide wave that toppled dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. As I gaze at vibrant Victory Square, it’s hard to envision 100,000 anti-Communist protesters crammed together during those fateful days.

Asked by CBS News in an interview posted late Thursday if he was running for president, Phillips responded: “I am. New Hampshire has refused to comply, citing state laws saying its primary must go first, and plans a primary before South Carolina’s. “To do well in the New Hampshire primary, you have to have a message.”There are no primary debates scheduled, according to the DNC.

Ice cream is “the ultimate comfort food.”Drinkers swapped a pint for a scoop, and for ice cream makers, Prohibition was a boon. “In fact they say that the ice cream business is bound to increase in volume from year to year as more people are using ice cream since the coming in of nation-wide prohibition and the going out of the saloon.”The interest in ice cream continued in World War II, buoyed by the government’s use of the frozen dessert to help boost morale. CNN —Keep your hands steady: a scoop of this exquisite delight is probably going to cost more than all the ice cream you will have throughout multiple summers. Japanese ice cream brand Cellato calls white night a gelato on its website, and the name is a hint to its Italian origins. The ice cream is topped off by an edible gold leaf, two types of cheese and “Sakekasu,” a paste-like ingredient derived from the process of sake-making. The world's most expensive ice cream by Japanese maker Cellato is a conbination of luxury ingredients from Italy and Japan. They are advised to let the ice cream defrost at room temperature or microwave it at 500 watts for 10 to 20 seconds, if the texture is too hard.
